I think the project went ok, but not great. I experienced the following issues:
- Underestimated amount of time to possibility of capturing the better images.
- Not enough variety of subjects.
- Gigs being cancelled.
I feel I didn't try hard enough to find such subjects but I progressed towards the end by finding more subjects to photograph by being more open with ideas.
I think I could possibly explore this again and improve it even further over time.

Book Intro
'This book bleeds the
aura of live music. It suits the music lovers, musicians and everything
inbetween.
Personally, I capture
the action within live music all the time, but there is something beautiful
about beyond the action.
How many times have
you seen images of a sweaty guitarist thrusting his guitar everywhere and with
their legs upon amps? How about drummers throwing sticks up in the air?
Singers bending over
to belt out their lyrics? If you look at everything beyond that, you see extra
passion, it's what is between the moments of said action that goes skin deep of
hard work and dedication.
The images you will
see reveals the things that make up of a live performance, things you don't
notice, things that happen infront of you but you don't think about and I am
about to make you see the art of live music with the absence of action.'
Potential Chosen Finals
These final images will be edited using Photoshop. I will make sure they are all the same tonal levels as a set, have the same colours in for a consistent flow (purples and blues) and I will add noise and a vignette..the noise reflecting music/authenticity and the vignette for some bordering and to represent almost a 'spotlight' like in the way stage lighting can be.
The reason I will not have them in black and white is because I wanted to show the artistic side of music, black and white will not show it as much, especially with how beautiful the coloured lighting can be!
