More Influences..

This video has sparked off the concept of photographing the absent sides of music.
As I attend gigs regularly, I felt the first opportunities were to find something other than a performing musician to photograph, but something different.
I wanted to keep within the music as opposed to using fans, so I began photographing as bands were setting up the stage ready to play, tuning up guitars, a microphone being unused. Here are the ones I produced and selected as the better of the lot; unedited:

This particular gig was in York, so as you can imagine, I did a bit of exploring of the town. I noticed a lot of buskers around which inspired me to perhaps try photographing them for another side of music, the absent side of not being known. However, as the day I was inspired was a short term discovery having only a short walk around the town so that I could get ready for the gig and get there on time; I'd decided on photographing the buskers the following day. Sadly there were no buskers in sight, so I plan on visiting towns that are busker magnets!

My exploring themes will both be actively photographed as of now. Having done this part of research physically and personally, my next plan is to condense these ideas into proposals and into a presentation to present to a small number of classmates and teachers - in the meantime I shall carry on photographing and seeing if my ideas develop. I shall also begin on researching as much as  I can into photographers, documentaries, videos (music videos in particular) and possibly the whole concept of buskers.
